New Blog!

As the light of the day ever awaits to break the morn and fails to linger in the eave, our routines adjust. Instinctual reminders put us back on the path of our autumn routines so that our work is well underway before the limitations of winter catch us off guard.  Summer boxes and toys are pushed into the dark corners and the bulky, heavy waited gear is dragged forward to be within reach.  But as always, we have our favorites we are just not yet ready to let go of, the Salsa, the Santa Cruz, the Raleigh, the Huffy, the Giant, the Mongoose just to name a few.  The names that represent what it is we love to do, the all-around cycling, trail riding, gravel grinding, bike touring, downhill mtb, and more endless summer fun, except that summer isn’t endless and we want to carry on.

So this season at BikeBoards, we vow not to allow the elements to force our routines but to adapt so we can still enjoy the best of what we love for summer all winter long.  Our shift in psyche does not need to mean reserving our energy solely for the functional tasks of productivity squeezed between the dawn and dusk.  We will continue our adventures through the winter, day and night, and we are excited to have so much to come.

Winter does not have to  entice us into the darkness of seasonal depression, putting ourselves in dark corners with our toys.  Just change up the playlist and get out the headlamps.  We will show the optimism and sparkle of dreams that come from winter’s quiet and solace, stoking the fires to look deep within us to explore even greater unknowns.  Bright white snow, glowing embers, starlit nights, warm cups between our palms, the fellowship of friends, and thanks to our bikeboards, our bikes of all shapes and sizes will be coming along as well.

Join us in welcoming the changing season, arms open and ready for winter, prepared or not, here we come.  Keep in touch as we share all the winter biking adventures that await!
